The Free Classes & Lectures in this category are open to all, but a request for enrollment codes must be emailed to ExtendedStudies@UWest.edu. These classes and lectures are offered by University of the West as part of it's outreach and community services.

Many of these classes have been created by distinguished UWest faculty members, but the classes are self-directed in nature. That is, there are no instructors, quizzes, or exams; nor do these classes or lectures earn Continuing Education Units [CEU]

Free Lectures

  • Your resume is often the first thing a prospective employer sees. Too many resumes are not looked at because of spelling, grammar, and other errors. Therefore, creating a concise yet powerful resume is not just writing down where you worked, your skill sets, and your education.

    This free online class covers the art of resume writing, and getting you the interview.
  • This free online class will prepare immigrants to take their U.S. Naturalization test. All of the information was prepared by the office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and is available from their website www.uscis.gov.
  • This is a free online class devoted to the academic success of 1st semester and 1st year students enrolled at University of the West, or any other college or university. You can start and complete this online class at your convenience.

    Academic content consists primarily of slide and video presentations.
